Roles & Responsibilities

Experience in system architecture and decomposition into sub-systems (system, mechanical, software, hardware)
Experience in Engineering Disciplines Management or RD Team Leadership
Ability to manage technical risks and ensure design robustness, cost optimization, and standards compliance
Strong customer interface skills and ability to translate system requirements into engineering discipline requirements

Requirements:

Define the system architecture of the product and the system structure of components in line with the platform configurator
Identify, manage and mitigate technical risks; support optimization of design-to-cost and enforce standards across system solutions
Interface with customers for system architecture content and provide inputs/requirements to system development; collaborate with disciplines to translate requirements into sub-systems
Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure interoperability, support design reviews, and capitalize know-how (standards, specifications, reports, processes and guidelines)

Define the system architecture of the product

Define system Structure of product and its components in line with platform configurator
Ensure an optimize design to cost approach
Check patent
Identify and support management of technical risks of the system architectures in projects
Propose constant improvement in relation with platform

Secure the product robustness, apply standards

Enforce standards system solutions
Support system Design Review
Manage the link with other Engineering disciplines / calling for hierarchical support if needed
Capitalization of the know-how (Standardization, Specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)

Support system requirement Management

Provides inputs and requirements to the system for the development
Interface with customer for system architecture content
Contribute to refine the functions into the right sub-systems (system - mechanical - software - hardware …)

Distribute and split the functions per Engineering discipline

Translate system requirements in Engineering disciplines requirements
In collaboration with the different competences (Engineering disciplines) define the functions into the right sub-systems (system - mechanical - software - hardware …)
Ensure the inter-operability of all sub-systems
