The Opportunity
Riskonnect is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise infrastructure. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of infrastructure services—from physical hardware to virtualized platforms—while embedding security, automation, and observability into everything we do. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of strategic architectural thinking and hands-on operational expertise. You will partner closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure our infrastructure supports business growth, application performance, and security best practices.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities Include

• Network & Security Engineering
• Design, deploy, and managePalo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including policy management and security integrations.
• Architect and supportCisco routing and switching infrastructure to ensure resilient, high-performance networks.
• Implement andmaintainenterprise security controls aligned with organizational standards.
• Application Delivery & Protection
• AdministerF5 and A10 load balancers, including virtual servers, traffic policies, and SSL offloading.
• Design andmaintainWeb Application Firewall (WAF) andIntrusion Prevention System (IPS) policies to protect customer-facing applications.
• Provide infrastructure-level support forJava-based applications, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and effective traffic management.
• Vulnerability & Risk Management
• Conduct ongoing vulnerability assessments usingTenable.
• Partner with infrastructure and application teams to prioritize, remediate, andvalidatesecurity findings.
• Virtualization & Storage
• Build,operate, andoptimizeVMware virtual environments.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms includingIBM, Pure, and EMC systems.
• Support and troubleshootSAN and NAS technologies,leveragingFibreChannel, NFS, and CIFS protocols.
• Hardware & Data Center Operations
• Oversee the full lifecycle ofphysical hardware, including racking, stacking, cabling, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Support data center operations with a focus on reliability, scalability, and documentation.
• Observability & Monitoring
• Architect and maintainSplunk infrastructure for log ingestion, monitoring, dashboards, and operational insights.
• Enhance system visibility to support performance tuning, incident response, and proactive troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure Automation
• Develop andmaintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions usingAnsible andTerraform.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management for network and server resources.
• UseGit for version control, collaboration, and change management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in network, security, and systems infrastructure roles.
• Advanced hands-onexpertise with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco networking, F5 load balancers, and VMware virtualization.
• Strong working knowledge ofLinux and Windows systems,TCP/IP networking, and enterprise infrastructure components.
• Expertproficiency withAnsible, Terraform, and Git.
• Deep understanding ofSAN/NAS architectures, includingFibreChannel and file-based storage (NFS/CIFS).
• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Industry certifications such asPCNSE (Palo Alto),CCNP (Cisco), and/orVCP (VMware).
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale,highly availableproduction environments.
