Job description

Description

Uplight is creating a new category of energy. We make software that manages energy resources in homes and businesses—including things like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, solar panels, storage batteries, heat pumps, and even people’s behavior—to generate, shift, or save energy to balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable. This creates clean energy capacity that can be used by the power grid instead of burning more fossil fuels. Our solutions accelerate the transition to clean energy and save money for energy customers.

We are looking for an eCommerce Supply Chain Coordinator to drive our company forward, and help us lead the clean energy revolution!
How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for the efficient and transparent management of our eCommerce supply chain by coordinating logistics and maintaining strong vendor partnerships. Your core duties will include:
  •  Operational Excellence: Proactively manage the end-to-end eCommerce supply chain, ensuring data integrity across NetSuite and partner platforms.
    •  Track and manage order data with partners, ensuring accurate shipment tracking and resolving discrepancies promptly.
    •  Own the fulfillment lifecycle by ensuring partners meet strict SLAs, directly influencing customer satisfaction and repeat business.
    •  Optimize inventory turnover by synchronizing planning with vendor delivery schedules, preventing stockouts during high-demand periods.
    •  Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate and mitigate potential inventory risks.
  •  Vendor Stewardship: Act as a point of contact for vendor partners, managing PO lifecycles and resolving claims to maintain a "frictionless" supply chain.
    •  Manage the creation, review, submission, and tracking of vendor POs.
    •  Coordinate inventory planning and receipt schedules.
    •  Manage order troubleshooting and claims processing.
  •  Logistics Coordination:
    •  Coordinate monthly manufacturer returns and recycling shipments with the distribution center and returns processor, ensuring process compliance.
What You'll Bring to Uplight:
  • Experience: 1+ year in supply chain, logistics, or eCommerce operations.
  • Systems Fluency: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and a "power user" approach to Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Problem-Solving: A knack for spotting a discrepancy in a tracking report and the initiative to fix the root cause.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workspace tools, including Google Sheets and App Scripts.
  • Analysis: Strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions.
  • Execution & Organization: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Mindset: Results-driven with a dedication to continuous improvement and optimizing operational processes.
Bonus points:
  •  Familiarity with energy industry trends, product certifications (e.g., ENERGY STAR), and the environmental impact of energy-saving technologies.
  •  A strong commitment to sustainability and mission-driven work.
