Job description

Title: Go Developer – High Concurrency & Cybersecurity Systems

Location: Remote in the US

Duration: 1 year contract (W2 only, no visa sponsorship or c2c)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Go Developer to design and build highly concurrent, secure, and scalable backend systems. This role focuses on developing workflow-driven, event-based platforms with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, data pipelines, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance services in Go, leveraging goroutines, channels, and concurrency patterns
Build and maintain Temporal workflows, ensuring deterministic execution using Workflows, Activities, and the Temporal SDK
Develop cybersecurity-focused solutions including threat intelligence ingestion, SOC automation, and detection pipelines
Design and operate event-driven architectures and data pipelines using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and pub/sub models
Implement secure data handling using cryptographic and secrets management platforms
Collaborate with security, platform, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, secure systems

Required Qualifications

4+ years of Go development experience, with deep expertise in high-concurrency systems (required)
Hands-on experience building Temporal workflows (SDK, Activities, determinism)

2+ years of cybersecurity experience, including:

Threat Intelligence platforms
SIEM and SOC automation
Detection rules such as YARA and Sigma

2+ years of experience with data movement and streaming platforms, including:

Apache Kafka
RabbitMQ
Event-driven and stream-processing architectures

Experience with secure storage and cryptography, including:

AWS KMS (or HashiCorp Vault)
HMAC signatures
Secrets management
Least-privilege IAM policies

Nice to Have

Experience building distributed systems at scale
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and infrastructure-as-code
Strong understanding of security best practices in backend services

ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $65.00 - $110.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
