Wider (ex.HyperAd) | Backend/Data Engineer at SD Solutions

On behalf of Wider (ex.HyperAd), SD Solutions is looking for a strong Backend/Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, hands-on, and comfortable building scalable backend systems, robust data pipelines, and AI-powered services. You will design and develop backend services in Python, manage data infrastructure, and integrate AI systems into production environments on GCP.

This role requires end-to-end ownership — from system design and implementation to AI integration and production deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python
• Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Design and implement REST APIs and internal service integrations
• Integrate and work with AI systems and LLM APIs
• Develop, test, and optimize AI prompts (Prompt Engineering – required)
• Build backend services that support AI-driven features
• Architect and manage data storage solutions (SQL-based systems required)
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
• Utilize cloud-native services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability best practices
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and AI teams to deliver intelligent features
• Participate in system architecture discussions and long-term technical planning

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Data Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs
• Proven experience working with AI systems / LLM APIs
• Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering (required)
• Solid experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL or similar)
• Experience with BigQuery or large-scale analytical databases
• Experience working with GCP
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture
• Experience designing data models and optimizing queries
• Strong ownership and accountability

• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building AI-powered production systems
  
• Experience with async processing and event-driven systems
  
• Experience with message queues (Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.)
  
• Experience building data pipelines and batch/stream processing systems
  
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
  
• Familiarity with ML pipelines and AI infrastructure
  
• Experience working in startupa or a fast-paced environment
