Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3–5 years of professional experience with at least 2+ years hands-on DSP/SSP, tech partner or publisher experience in programmatic advertising
  • Technical literacy in AdTech protocols (RTB/OpenRTB) and formats (CTV, Mobile, Desktop), plus advanced data skills (Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) and experience with visualization tools such as BigQuery and Looker Studio
  • Operational excellence with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects in a fast-paced environment; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Regulatory knowledge of GDPR and CCPA and their impact on programmatic targeting; strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset

Requirements:

  • Lead end-to-end deal lifecycle management: setup, QA, deployment, ensuring inventory and data segments are aligned with client objectives; curate premium audience packages and monitor deal health against KPI goals (CTR, CPA, VCR, Viewability)
  • Technical troubleshooting and analytics: act as the primary contact for issues related to scale and bidding; analyze large data sets to uncover trends; define and document best-in-class operational workflows; ensure timely SLA-based resolutions
  • Strategic partnership and cross-functional collaboration: advise commercial teams on effective transactional setups within the OpenX platform; collaborate with Product and Sales Engineering to pilot new features and influence product roadmap
  • Ensure seamless experience for clients and internal users by maintaining proactive monitoring, issue remediation, and continuous improvement of operational processes

As a Deal Operations Specialist, you will be the operational backbone for our premium programmatic marketplace. You will act as the bridge between technology and execution, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of programmatic deals for OpenX Partners.
This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a "solutions-first" mindset. You'll partner closely with internal teams to QA, troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and internal users.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Deal Lifecycle Management
  • Execution & QA: Lead the end-to-end setup, QA, and deployment of deals, ensuring all inventory and data segments are aligned with client objectives.
  • Inventory Curation: Build premium audience packages using contextual data triggers and sitelist curation across Display, OLV, and CTV formats.
  • Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor deal health, pacing, and delivery. Identify “under-the-hood” yield opportunities to scale successful campaigns and optimize toward client-defined KPI goals such as CTR, CPA, VCR and Viewability.
  • 2. Technical Troubleshooting & Analytics
  • Problem Solving: Act as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting, resolving issues related to scale, bidding, and overall deal health.
  • Analytics: Skilled at analyzing large data sets to uncover trends, diagnose issues, and drive solutions.
  • Process Innovation: Help define and document "best-in-class" operational workflows to improve team efficiency and platform scalability.
  • Operational Accountability: Ensure timely resolution of cases in alignment with defined SLA standards and internal performance metrics.
  • 3. Strategic Partnership
  • Consultative Support: Partner with commercial teams to advise clients on the most effective transactional setups within the OpenX platform.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Sales Engineering to pilot new features and provide feedback that drives the OpenX product roadmap.

  • Requirements

  • Data Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) and experience with visualization tools like BigQuery, LookerStudio Sigview.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple parallel projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A solid grasp of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on programmatic targeting.
  • Soft Skills: A "self-starter" mentality with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent and Accountable: Able to manage tasks autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work with minimal direct.
