Role Overview

1001 is seeking a structured, strategic, and highly articulate Marketing & Communications Manager to lead our brand narrative and corporate communications. This role is responsible for shaping and executing 1001’s communication strategy across PR, corporate messaging, partner announcements, and industry positioning.

You will act as the guardian of the brand voice, ensuring consistency, clarity, and credibility across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, detail-oriented, culturally aware, and capable of translating strategic milestones into compelling narratives that position 1001 as Iraq’s leading legal OTT platform and a key player in the regional media ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of 1001’s brand messaging framework, ensuring consistency across all platforms and partners.

  • Draft and manage press releases, official announcements, executive statements, and corporate communication materials.

  • Own media relations, coordinate press outreach, and maintain structured media tracking and reporting systems.

  • Translate product updates, partnerships, technology upgrades, and industry participation into clear and strategic communication narratives.

  • Manage LinkedIn and corporate thought-leadership content to strengthen industry positioning.

  • Oversee and approve co-branded communications with ISPs, banks, and strategic partners to ensure brand alignment.

  • Prepare executive briefing documents, talking points, and presentation materials for conferences, interviews, and industry events.

  • Develop and maintain internal communication templates, documentation systems, and brand guidelines.

  • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, providing structured reports and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Marketing Communications, PR, Brand Management, or Corporate Communications.

  • Proven experience drafting press materials and managing structured communication strategies.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Arabic (native fluency) and English (advanced proficiency).

  • Strong understanding of the Iraqi media, tech, and entertainment landscape.

  • Experience in media, tech, telecommunications, or digital platforms is a strong plus.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple communication streams, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and communication/project management tools.
