FP&A Director

Job Summary: 

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting, performance management and other key strategic initiatives to the eDiscovery and Legal Tech industry. This role partners closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to deliver clear, actionable financial insight focused on EBITDA, cash flow, and value creation.   

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with the company's growth and strategic goals. 
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models (e.g., driver-based models, scenario planning, project profitability) to support strategic decision-making, capital investments, and pricing strategies for eDiscovery services. 
• Performance Management & Analytics: Develop, track, and report KPI’s tied to revenue growth, margin expansion and operating efficiency; analyze key eDiscovery performance drivers/metrics and margin by service line to clearly communicate results and risks to leadership.  
• Business Partnership: Serve as strategic finance partner to functional and department leaders in Sales, Operations, Product and Technology, to optimize resource allocation, evaluate investment decisions and drive operational efficiency. 
• Cash Flow & Value Creation: Partner with Accounting to forecast cash, working capital, and liquidity 
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Collaborate with Accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. 
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures; build and validate deal models; partner with legal, tax, and operations through transaction execution; and own post-close financial integration, including synergy identification, tracking, and realization against the investment case. 
• Private Equity & Executive Reporting: Prepare board decks, lender packages, and private equity sponsor reporting.  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Advanced Education a Plus 
• CPA designation is highly preferred. 
• 8-12+ years of progressive FP&A experience  
• Experience at a PE-owned company is preferred. 
• Strong excel skills required. 
• Demonstrated experience in a role requiring both strategic planning (FP&A) and financial control/accounting oversight. 
• Experience within the LegalTech, SaaS, or eDiscovery/Professional Services industry is a significant advantage. 
• Working knowledge of applicable financial practices and procedures (GAAP/IFRS),  
• Proficient with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and standard office and accounting equipment. 
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to executives and investors. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
