What the Role Covers:
 


 

  • Ownership of content strategy for assigned GPC projects  
  • Conducting industry research and data analysis to identify the most appropriate strategic approaches to client projects  
  • Working
    with
    local and global social media outreach teams on influencer strategy, ensuring outputs meet client briefs
     
  • Overall measuring the quality of social media service from the
    agency  


 

 

Reporting and Communication Structure
 


 

  • This role reports to and advises the Regional Social Media Lead in the agency.  

 
Key  Responsibilities
 
 
 

  • Community & Content Strategy: Design and execute long-term social roadmaps that foster authentic connection. Lead content planning by mining social listening data and analytics to ensure all content is relevant and valuable.  
  • Facebook Group Growth & Management: Take full ownership of launching, moderating, and scaling branded Facebook Groups. Develop and implement targeted member recruitment strategies to drive sustainable growth.  
  • Paid Social Strategy & Agency Coordination: Develop the overarching strategy for using paid social to achieve key objectives, such as website traffic and Facebook Group growth. Act as the primary liaison with our paid media agency partners, providing them with clear, strategic briefs to ensure campaign execution aligns with our community-building efforts.  
  • Creator Engagement Strategy: Oversee the creator and influencer marketing strategy, from identifying and briefing talent to managing long-term relationships, ensuring authentic alignment with different community.  
  • Performance & Optimization: Set and track clear KPIs for engagement, membership growth, website traffic, and sentiment. Relentlessly analyze performance data to iterate and optimize strategy on a continuous basis.  
  • Client & Team Leadership: Serve as the day-to-day social expert for clients, presenting strategy, reporting results, and driving next-level ideas. Mentor junior team members and champion a culture of experimentation and excellence.  

 
Required Skills & Qualifications  
 
 

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in social media management, with a strong background in an agency or fast-paced brand environment.  
  • Deep expertise in the Food space, with a nuanced understanding of the digital habits, pain points, and language of foodies in Malaysia.  
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling online communities, with specific, hands-on experience in Facebook Group growth and recruitment tactics.  
  • A strong strategic understanding of paid social media and how it can be leveraged to drive traffic and conversions, along with experience collaborating with media agencies.  
  • A strong understanding of how to drive social-to-website traffic and measure success through the conversion funnel.  
  • Solid experience in the creator/influencer engagement space, from strategy to execution.  
  • Exceptional resilience and composure, with a proven ability to thrive under pressure and manage a high-volume workload and a broad scope of responsibilities without sacrificing quality.  
  • A data-driven and highly strategic mindset, with the ability to turn analytics into a clear, actionable roadmap.
