Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3+ years of capital equipment sales experience in the Life Sciences market, with experience selling automated liquid handling technologies or familiarity with lab automation solutions
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline (Genomics or Protein Crystallography background advantageous)
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce desirable) and ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the Southern California region and work autonomously / remotely

  • Lead sales for the liquid handling product range in Southern California, developing and executing a focused sales strategy with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Build consultative relationships with customers and act as a trusted advisor, leveraging cross-sell opportunities across product lines
  • Manage CRM data and the sales pipeline, coordinating with product specialists to follow up and close opportunities
  • Position SPT solutions within end-user workflows, articulating benefits using multiple communication channels and maintaining strong product knowledge

Job description

SPT Labtech has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our team. You’ll be based in and covering the Southern California region and have overall responsibility and oversight for the sales success of our liquid handling product range working alongside our talented commercial team. You'll be a highly organized, proactive Sales Manager with a strong Life Sciences background and solid knowledge of the lab automation/liquid handling product market.

  • Knowing how to position SPT solutions in relation to end-user’s workflows and explaining above all the benefits of the proposed solutions by using all the available communication tools (website, brochure, slide deck, application notes, videos,).
  • Having a perfect command of the products and services programs and knowing how to propose a global solution by cross selling our product range.
  • Ensuring that application knowledge is maintained at an optimal level by relying on the support functions (training, binomial tour, e-learning).
  • Being responsible for CRM data and management.

About you and your skills:

  • You'll ideally be located in the San Diego/Los Angeles area to contribute to the smooth running of our sales and business operations with an established network across the area
  • You'll have 3+ years’ experience in a capital equipment sales role in the Life Sciences Market with experience selling automated liquid handling technologies or are familiar with lab automation solutions.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline, a background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
  • Excited by the significant travel (up to 50%) over the region and based near a convenient travel hub.
  • Familiar with CRM use as a central sales tool. Experience with Salesforce would be desirable.
  • Proven success and ability to develop business.
  • Ability to conduct presentations in front of varying audiences.
  • Autonomous, team player and capable of working remotely.
