Diploma/Certificate in Payroll Administration, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of Canadian payroll processing experience (PCP certification in progress or completed is a strong asset)
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, Payworks, QuickBooks) and Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws (CRA, EI/CPP, provincial employment standards) and basic accounting principles (GL reconciliations)
Requirements:
Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately for employees across Canada (including multi-province setups)
Calculate regular pay, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions (CPP, EI, taxes, benefits)
Ensure compliance with federal/provincial regulations (CRA, Employment Standards, ROE, T4/T4A)
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies with Finance
