Job description

Job Overview: Seeking skilled Java Software Engineer to develop and maintain customer-facing web applications for a leading manufacturing client. Remote work is available across the U.S. and Canada, with the ability to work in the Central Time Zone required.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop dynamic, customer-facing web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Design and implement microservices and REST APIs for scalable, cloud-based environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application reliability and performance.
Configure and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) tools for automated testing and deployment.
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, Micro Frontends, and Single-page Applications.
Hands-on experience with NodeJS, Java 8 (or above), Spring Boot, and Microservice Architecture.
Familiarity with Unit Test frameworks such as React Testing Library, Jest, and JUnit.
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Proven experience in AWS Infrastructure and related cloud technologies.
Proficiency in CI/CD configuration using GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of REST API design and implementation.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
Background building enterprise applications for Fortune 500 companies.

Behavioral and Functional Skills:

Proven ability to present and discuss previous project work in ReactJS, TypeScript, Redux, NodeJS, and Java.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile-led teams.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
