Roles & Responsibilities

  • Direct hands-on manufacturing experience in roles such as Operations Manager, Production Supervisor, or Continuous Improvement Manager with general manufacturing exposure.
  • Strong understanding of WIP management, in-process quality assurance, waste identification, and inhibitors to process flow (including batch vs single-piece flow).
  • Proficiency with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) concepts (capacity, cycle time, WIP) and ability to plan and execute value stream mapping.
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Organizational Leadership/Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management; at least 2 years in a similar coaching role; familiarity with Redzone software; PLC experience desired but not required.

Requirements:

  • Facilitate 90-day programs by training customer teams on Redzone workflows, leading kaizen events, and coordinating with internal industrial forums to highlight changes.
  • Lead shop-floor action cycles by conducting huddle and daily vital signs meetings, tracking performance data (capacity, cycle time, WIP), and managing project schedules with customers; deliver weekly remote progress meetings.
  • Drive impact by identifying miracle stories, providing Success Assessments, troubleshooting issues, and guiding next steps in the Redzone journey; celebrate wins with the customer.
  • Maintain customer engagement and governance by sharing feedback with frontline teams and leadership, outlining next steps, and performing other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Under the leadership of the General Manufacturing Senior Coaching Director, the General Manufacturing OpEx Coach is responsible for providing customers with expert level coaching and the implementation and utilization of the Redzone software to drive real-time improvement.  This position will focus primarily on non-food manufacturing applications, including but not limited to assembly, electronics, automotive, chemicals, machining, and consumer goods.

This position is Full Time, Exempt, Remote and required to travel 42 weeks, Monday through Thursday (annually) throughout the United States. Coaches must be able and willing to transport themselves by means of both driving and flying to customer locations up to 80% as needed. This role is not available for sponsorship. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Internally, participate in Industrial team forums to ensure any 90-day program/software/workflow changes get highlighted and discussed
  • Train customer teams on workflows inside Redzone through multiple 90-day programs.
  • Facilitates huddle and daily vital signs meetings to support action cycles at the shop floor.
  • Track performance data and uplifts through the program. Note that this could be different from OEE in F&B/CPG… Capacity, Cycle Time, WIP are examples.
  • Lead kaizen activities as required during customer 90-day programs
  • Openly share feedback with customers’ frontline teams and leadership in order to drive positive behavioral and uplift results.
  • Facilitate weekly customer progress meetings remotely
  • Identifies miracle stories as well as miracle results to guide celebration of wins with the customer.
  • Manage project schedules with customers
  • Provide Success Assessments upon project completion
  • Deliver module overviews and provide customers enough info to create initial pull
  • Troubleshooting of customer issues as needed
  • Support customer identification of next steps in their Redzone journey
  • May be required to coach non-general manufacturing coaching as required.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in direct hands-on manufacturing-previous roles like Operations Manager, Production Supervisor, and Continuous Improvement Manager, preferably with General Manufacturing experience.  
  • Understanding of the principles of WIP management and in process quality assurance
  • Ability to identify process waste and inhibitors to process flow
  • Understanding of batch flow and single piece flow and how to reduce batch sizes in processes.
  • Practice using Overall Equipment Effectiveness and its components (or Capacity, Cycle Time, WIP) in driving production results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to plan and execute value stream mapping activities to identify process current and future states
  • Understanding of Redzone software with and ability to identify the most effective method of application to drive improvement
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience and familiarity is desired, but not required.

Education/Experience

  • BA or BS – Relevant fields of study can include and are not limited to: Engineering, Manufacturing, Organizational Leadership/Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management. 
  • 2 years in a similar position-providing direct coaching to business clients.  

Additional Information

Compensation Package:

  • Base pay range:  $125,000-140,000 USD Annual (12 Months) 
  • Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity.
  • This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus.
