Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably supporting procurement or supply chain functions on very large-scale North America projects
  • Proven ability to commercially negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers
  • Experience with procurement of goods and services across multiple buying categories and familiarity with energy/power generation industry contracts

Requirements:

  • Act as the single point of contact for procurement on behalf of the project in North America and provide functional expertise to develop sourcing strategies and knowledge of regional markets
  • Develop and manage a project procurement plan by working with procurement and stakeholders and utilizing RFx tools and the company’s sourcing process to inform contract award decisions
  • Liaise with project managers to report on the status of key deliverables and achieved goals, and make recommendations on pricing, equipment diversity, process standardization opportunities, and longer-term supplier relationships
  • Provide regular updates to senior regional management and project stakeholders; manage supplier contract processes and negotiations; support other strategic sourcing requirements and provide procurement process guidance

We are hiring immediately for a Regional Project Procurement Lead - a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

There is a strategic need for project procurement expertise and leadership in region. This role will act as a lead for any given project, coordinator project information, working with various stakeholders, assessing the supply base with the quality team and developing sourcing strategies, resulting in a project procurement plan that would be managed to completion. The position will also provide support to other strategic sourcing activities, as well as support & guidance to regional stakeholders to ensure effective execution in the region.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the single point of contact for procurement on behalf of the project covering North America
  • Provide functional expertise in order to develop sourcing strategies and knowledge of regional markets and supply base. 
  • Working with procurement and stakeholders to create & manage a project procurement plan.
  • Utilize RFx tools and the company’s sourcing process to inform contract award decisions
  • Liaise with project managers to report on the status of key deliverables and achieved goals for the project.
  • Make recommendations on balancing pricing, equipment diversity, process standardization opportunities and longer-term supplier relationships for the categories.
  • Provide regular updates and report to Sr Regional management and project stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier contract process and negotiations fit for purpose based on requirements & compliance standards for each project.
  • Supporting the region’s other strategic sourcing requirements as and when necessary.
  • Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders with respect to procurement processes and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; PMP is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably supporting procurement or supply chain functions in very large-scale projects in North America
  • Demonstrated ability commercially negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  • Familiarity with energy or power generation industry contracts is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in procurement of goods and services ideally gathered from a range of different buying categories
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and stakeholder communication.
  • Preferred project background in Aerospace, defense, O&G, PCR and energy
