Context/ ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a Software Developer Engineer in Test, to join Endered PayTech's dynamic and fast-paced Development team.
Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the design and delivery of Front-end automation testing
- Ensure the highest quality through appropriate functional and non-functional testing, including device, browser, accessibility testing
- Produce and track all the relevant QA artefacts (e.g. test plans, test execution reports, defect reporting)
- Actively support the releases of the newly developed portal
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to more junior QA engineers, as required
- Develop and execute automated tests for web applications
- Implement and maintain testing frameworks and tools
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience
- Coordinate with the development team on testing needs and findings
Required skills & profile
- Front-end test automation
- Established front-end testing frameworks and tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright
- TDD and BDD tools and techniques
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as Java
- Experience in data creation and curation
- DevOps practices and principles
- Experience of the following: SQL, XML/JSON, Jenkins & BitBucket, API and web services (REST), AWS services
- Self-starter, strong communication skills - written & verbal- able to explain technical issues and solutions to peers
- Excellent problem-solving ability, well organized – able to plan own work and track progress against a plan
- Influencer – can articulate and challenge appropriately around testing best practices
