Growth Marketer (Paid Growth / Performance Marketing Lead)

Location: Cape Town
Type: Full-time, permanent, hybrid (fully remote for first few months while an office is established in Cape Town)
Salary: Market related and dependent on experience

Job Overview

Our client, a high-growth international PropTech company, is looking to recruit a hands-on Growth Marketer to lead their paid growth and performance marketing function.

This role offers a rare opportunity to take full ownership of growth marketing in a fast-scaling business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving acquisition, reducing customer acquisition costs (CAC), and scaling paid media spend significantly while maintaining high lead quality. You will operate as a true owner of the growth function- from strategy and execution to experimentation, measurement, and new channel expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Growth Ownership

  • Own and manage paid acquisition across Meta and Google, with scope to expand into additional channels
  • Scale marketing spend responsibly while improving CAC and maintaining lead quality
  • Design and run structured experimentation across audiences, creatives, offers, and landing pages

Creative & Performance Strategy

  • Develop and lead a performance creative strategy across formats (UGC, product demos, testimonials, data-led angles, etc.)
  • Translate insights into creative briefs and iterate rapidly
  • Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, creative production, and testing velocity

Measurement, Tracking & Insight

  • Own tracking and attribution across the full funnel (pixels, CAPI, GA4, GTM, events, UTMs)
  • Build dashboards that connect spend to leads, qualified leads, and deal outcomes
  • Analyse funnel performance and drive improvements across landing pages, forms, messaging, and lead nurturing

Channel & Growth Expansion

  • Identify and test new growth levers beyond paid media (partnerships, referrals, lifecycle campaigns, organic capture)
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to improve lead handling, qualification, and feedback loops
  • Continuously propose and validate new growth opportunities

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Proven hands-on performance marketing experience managing meaningful budgets
  • Strong track record of reducing CAC while scaling spend
  • Deep technical competence across ad platforms, tracking, and attribution
  • Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into clear decisions and experiments
  • Strong creative instincts with a performance mindset
  • High ownership, fast execution, and a strong testing culture
  • Comfortable working remotely with strong communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in PropTech, marketplaces, lead generation, or high-consideration products
  • Experience with lifecycle/CRM marketing (email, SMS, WhatsApp)
  • Landing page and conversion rate optimisation experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, GA4, GTM, Looker Studio, Zapier
  • Experience building lightweight creative production systems
  • SEO knowledge
