Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud in both administrative and development capacities

  • Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud Intelligence and ability to build custom reports, queries, and automations

Requirements:

  • Develop and maintain SFMC components (data extensions, journeys, automations) and manage subscriber data; troubleshoot issues to maintain platform hygiene
  • Build and automate campaigns using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio; write and optimize SQL for segmentation and data updates; configure triggered sends and preference centers
  • Ensure data quality, deliverability, reporting, and stay current with Salesforce releases; recommend best practices for performance, compliance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with strategy, data, and client services to translate business needs into technical tasks; manage campaigns and support tickets in an agency setting

About the team and what we’ll build together
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering innovative, scalable, and technically robust loyalty marketing solutions. This role is critical in building custom components and advanced integrations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to enable automated, personalized, and data-driven engagement for our clients. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including strategy, data, and client services to translate business needs into technical execution.

How you will make an impact:
  • Responsibilities blend development, data management, and collaboration with marketers & stakeholders. Writing and optimizing SQL to segment audiences and update data extensions.
  • Creating or updating journeys and managing automations (e.g., ETL tasks, triggered sends, imports).
  • Ensuring data quality, cleaning, and segmentation. Support platform hygiene by managing subscriber data, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing queries and automations.
  • Administer and maintain the SFMC platform, including data extensions, campaign performance, and deliverability.
  • Build and automate campaigns using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio. Configure platform features such as triggered sends, transactional messaging, contact builder, and preference centers.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend best practices for performance, compliance, and scalability.
  • Manage, create, and deploy campaigns, when necessary, including subscriber data, import and segmentation, on behalf of Kobie Marketing clients by executing tasks related to audience segmentation, email scheduling and email sending. 
  • In an agency setting you might wear multiple hats: developer, tester, and even light marketer.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud in both administrative and development capacities.
  • Strong understanding of AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
  • Experience with campaign execution, deliverability monitoring, segmentation, and subscriber management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud Intelligence along with the ability to build custom reports, queries, and automations
  • Experience managing support tickets and development requests; ability to prioritize work based on business impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating business needs into technical tasks. Ability to work directly in a client-facing role.

  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices and loyalty marketing experience
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and client deadlines with minimal oversight 
  • Agency experience or corporate in-house agency experience

    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications encouraged
