As Environmental Permitting Manager, you will be part of an organization responsibly developing utility-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage facilities in NYISO, PJM, MISO and CAISO. This role has an emphasis on biological resources permitting and environmental planning for large-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage projects in the development and pre-construction phase primarily in the NYISO market; with planned/future growth potential into PJM and MISO PJM markets. To fulfill these duties, you will support Terra-Gen’s Environmental Permitting Directors and collaborate with other internal teams such as development, engineering, construction management, as well as external teams like environmental consultants and legal counsel. Responsibilities may also include participating in permitting support with external stakeholders such as state/federal resource agencies, and conservation organizations.
The ideal candidate has a degree in biological resources and/or strong biological resources permitting experience with local, state and federal resource agencies in the listed markets.
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, well organized, with a keen attention to detail and able to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment, take direction and complete tasks in a thorough and efficient manner. This individual must be able to handle multiple priorities and projects at various stages of development.
This is a remote based position; however, preference will be given to candidates able to travel occasionally (up to 20% travel).

Some overnight travel may be required – up to 20% travel (mileage reimbursements based on the current federal mileage rate).

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
