Job Description Summary:

The Data Solution Architect partners closely with the sales team to design and deliver data driven solutions that accelerate customer success and revenue growth. This role translates complex business requirements into scalable architectures leveraging analytics, integration, AI/LLM and cloud technologies. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the architect guides customers through solution options, leads discovery workshops, and develops compelling technical narratives that support sales strategies. They ensure solution feasibility, optimize performance, and align designs with best practices. Working cross functionally with engineering, product, and sales leadership, the architect helps shape account strategy and drives adoption of innovative data solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Experience    

15+ years experience in data architecture, data engineering and data source / target expertise. 

Experience of Hybrid environments, architecting data projects on AWS, Azure , GCP coupled with legacy data base expertise.  

Ownership and strategy development of AI & LLM architecture leading to demonstrable ROI within key markets for Rocket Software.   

Subject matter expert on analytics platforms, data lakes, data streaming services and RDMS    

Demonstrated expertise in high throughput, low latency, zero downtime enterprise data modelling, metadata management, data governance, and data quality within Banking, financial services, insurance or similar industry.  

Development of robust data governance frameworks, standards, and stewardship models aligned with enterprise policies.  

  

   

Key Responsibilities   

Work with Rockets largest accounts by supporting the sales process as a solution architect covering the entire data eco system, assist with building pipeline and closing strategical projects with Rocket’s customers.  

Deliver compelling, impactful and influential presentations to CDO, other C level personas and chief data architects to ensure their key considerations are addressed through evidence based, detailed industry knowledge.    

Master the Rocket data portfolio from a technical standpoint to build confidence in prospects, so that the journey from initial engagement to implementation is clear and in line with business priorities.    

Lead projects both conceptually and technically through hands-on product expertise.   

Act as strategical advisor to key accounts running large enterprise mainframe environments. Develop and influence customer data strategy based on extensive industry and technical experience to position Rocket Software as preferred vendor.    

Build long standing relationships with Rocket’s most valuable customers.    

  

Key Qualifications  

  
Data Analytics, Data Science, Cloud and Data Engineering from all major cloud vendors considered.  

All industry recognised AI / LLM qualifications considered.
