Requirements:

  • Monitor emerging clinical research and ingredient trends to identify category and assortment implications; inform strategy, sourcing decisions, and practitioner engagement based on evidence.
  • Identify and source novel ingredients or brands through literature, conferences, and industry events; translate evidence into education and clinical narratives for partner initiatives.
  • Review and validate clinical content for accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment; collaborate with Education and Partner teams to plan educational initiatives.
  • Lead the translation of clinical insights into practitioner- and patient-facing education and marketing materials; ensure clinical accuracy across product imagery, claims, and assets; align clinical, merchandising, and educational priorities.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a Clinical Merchandising Manager to support category strategy, ingredient curation, and clinical communication across our supplement assortment. This role ensures clinical evidence and practitioner relevance are embedded in product evaluation, category strategy, education, and go-to-market execution—strengthening practitioner trust and differentiation across the platform.

The Clinical Merchandising Manager will serve as a key clinical stakeholder, working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Partner Management, Marketing, Education, Academy, and Suppliers to translate clinical research and market insights into actionable assortment decisions, clinical communications, and strategic priorities.

*Travel may be required 3 to 4 times a year for events.

What You'll Do:
  • Ingredient and Product Strategy and Innovation:
  • Monitor emerging clinical research, ingredient trends, and evolving standards of evidence to identify category and assortment implications.
  • Contribute to ingredient- and condition-level category reviews, using clinical evidence and market insights to inform strategy, sourcing decisions, and practitioner engagement approaches.
  • Support identification and sourcing of novel ingredients or brands through scientific literature, conferences, and industry events.

  • Education & Partner Collaboration:
  • Act as a clinical partner to industry partners and strategic vendors, translating evidence into compelling practitioner education and communication opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ideate and define the clinical narrative and educational storyline for partner initiatives.
  • Review and validate clinical content—including guides, courses, and practitioner education materials—for scientific accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Education team to support operational planning, timelines, and workback schedules for educational initiatives.
  • Serve as a cross-functional connector, aligning clinical, merchandising, and educational priorities.

  • Clinical Merchandising Communications:
  • Lead the translation of clinical insights into practitioner- and patient-facing education materials and marketing messaging, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and engagement.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to identify and elaborate clinically grounded marketing themes.
  • Ensure clinical accuracy and evidence-based positioning across product imagery, claims, marketing and educational assets.
  • Consult with Merchandising on protocol updates, product substitutions, and complex category decisions.

  • What You Bring:
  • Advanced degree (MD, NP, RN, PA, MSc/PhD or equivalent) in a scientific or integrative healthcare field
  • Two to three years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or a related role in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, functional food or supplement industry is required.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply clinical research.
  • Familiarity with supplement formulation, ingredient quality standards, and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with external stakeholders

  • Bonus if you have:
  • Experience working with or supporting healthcare practitioners.
  • Experience in OTC, supplement or nutrition industry is an asset.
  • Exposure to product development or clinical review processes an asset.

  • Compensation range

    The salary range for this role is between $124,000 CAD and $140,000 CAD. Fullscript shares salary ranges to support transparency and help candidates make informed decisions. The range shown reflects base salary only and does not include stock options, bonus, wellness stipends, or other benefits that are part of Fullscript’s total rewards package.

    Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and location. We review pay regularly to stay aligned with market data and internal equity. Benefits and total rewards may vary by region.
