The Senior Pricing Analyst supports the launch and growth of our new Business Development unit by developing pricing strategies, margin models, and financial insights that drive profitable new client acquisition in the promotional products industry. This role serves as the analytical engine behind competitive pricing, responding to fast-paced quoting needs, and modeling complex scenarios for pursuits ranging from mid-market deals to enterprise level- RFPs.


Responsibilities:


This individual will combine strong financial modeling skills with deep industry knowledge, including vendor pricing, customization costs, import programs, and product margin dynamics to ensure we win the right deals at the right margins. As our Business Development unit scales, the Senior Pricing Analyst will create the frameworks, tools, and governance needed for a disciplined, efficient, and high performing-performing pricing function.

  

Pricing Strategy for New Business Development

  • Build pricing frameworks tailored specifically to our new-business sales motion, ensuring competitiveness while protecting margin.
  • Develop margin models and deal scenarios for cold-start enterprise opportunities, multi-line programs, and high-volume projects.
  • Advise Business Development leadership on pricing strategy for target segments and verticals.

Deal Desk & Complex Quote Support

  • Serve as the primary pricing partner for Business Development reps during pursuit cycles, ensuring fast, accurate pricing under tight deadlines.
  • Lead pricing for RFPs, large-scale activations, and custom-import programs.
  • Structure pricing options that help the sales team strategize (good/better/best, volume tiers, bundling, etc.).

Vendor Costing & Sourcing Intelligence

  • Analyze vendor pricing, market trends, and cost drivers to anticipate shifts that may impact new-business pursuits.
  • Collaborate closely with Vendor Relations to negotiate better pricing on high-potential opportunities.
  • Provide sourcing alternatives to improve competitiveness for new prospects and early-stage opportunities.

Pricing Tools & Automation

  • Build calculators, pricing databases, and cost-model templates designed to support a scalable new-business engine.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to embed pricing logic into CRM and quoting workflows for consistency and speed.
  • Standardize quote formats for Business Development so that pricing is clear, accurate, and client ready.

Analytics, Forecasting & Performance Insights

  • Monitor pricing win/loss data and competitive patterns specific to outbound new-business pursuits.
  • Identify trends across product categories, verticals, and sourcing channels to advise Business Development strategy.
  • Provide leadership with pricing insights that improve forecasting, pipeline strategy, and margin performance.

Governance & Process Optimization

  • Establish approval workflows and discounting guardrails specific to new-business deals.
  • Develop processes that reduce quote turnaround time and increase conversion rates.
  • Ensure data integrity across pricing tools, quote logs, and CRM opportunity records.
Requirements


Required:

  • 5+ years in pricing, financial analysis, or revenue management.
  • 5+ years managing, reviewing, or responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Experience in the promotional products industry or a sourcing-intensive, product-based B2B environment.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; ability to build tools from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of promotional product cost drivers, customization processes, freight, tariffs, and import programs.
  • Proven success supporting sales teams, deal strategy, or new-business pursuits.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional partnership ability.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within a new or rapidly scaling sales or business development organization.
  • Familiarity with distributor-side platforms (ASI, SAGE, PPAI).
  • Background working with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, commonsku) and/or quoting systems.
  • Exposure to enterprise RFP pricing or multi-category program costing.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $110,000 annually. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. While it is uncommon for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range, compensation decisions are influenced by various factors.
