Name of position: Salt Stack Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
We are seeking a highly skilled Salt Stack Infrastructure Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage SaltStack-based automation solutions across hybrid cloud environments while collaborating closely with DevOps, SRE, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain SaltStack automation (States, Pillars, Orchestration)
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
Build reusable Salt formulas and custom modules
Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines
Manage Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
Support cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Implement security hardening and compliance automation
Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize performance
Document automation frameworks and operational runbooks
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in Infrastructure Automation / DevOps
5+ years hands-on SaltStack experience
Strong Linux administration
Python, Bash, YAML scripting
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Git-based source control
Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Docker and Kubernetes knowledge
