BigHand is on a journey of Cloud Nativity. This is a company level strategy to modernise the applications and infrastructure to better deliver highly available, scalable, and secure SaaS products to be available where, when and on whatever device the customer desires. BigHand is focused on delivery of Cloud SaaS Platforms and is now taking the next step to mature its Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations practices. This strategy is driven by the need for fast delivery of new features through secure and cost-effective use of Azure Cloud services.
As a Platform Operations Engineer, you will be working with a team of great engineers, delivery managers and architects on several topics i.e., Cloud Platform Design, Automated Deployment, Infrastructure Provisioning, Security Testing and many more.
You will work on different Platform Engineering, Platform Operations and Platform Security projects and collaborate with Product, Architecture and Software Engineering teams to deliver secure products and cloud platforms and support companywide OKRs and initiatives.
You will contribute to BigHand Platform operations and security research and bring new knowledge inside the company.
You also will assist with the continuous improvement of the operational processes critical to the success of our Cloud Platform and Operations teams.
Work with a team of skilled Platform Operations engineers
Work on everything from transitioning on-prem services into Azure cloud (PaaS and IaaS services), including re-architecting platform to orchestrated container-based service architecture (Azure Kubernetes and Docker).
Add, improve, extend, and secure modules in our Terraform & PowerShell module library.
Optimise cloud costs through efficient capacity planning and scaling of services
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Customer Operations teams, and the wider organisation stakeholders in delivery of all SaaS platforms and other IT system changes.
Work closely with Cloud Platform and Operations leadership to plan, design and track all Cloud Platform and Operations initiatives and deliverables ensuring they remain on schedule.
