Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (MS preferred).
  • Proven experience as a data architect or data analytics lead in large organizations, with ability to translate business and mission questions into analytical requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with business and mission awareness and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with modern BI/analytics tools, data governance, data quality practices, and collaborating with data engineers and solution architects across federal and commercial portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Analyze structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance insights; develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor operations, outcomes, and KPIs.
  • Translate business and mission questions into analytical approaches and data requirements; perform data profiling, validation, and quality assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Engage with customer stakeholders to understand operational workflows and reporting needs; facilitate requirements sessions, explain analytical results clearly, and connect insights to operational impacts.
  • Design, deliver, and automate intuitive dashboards using modern BI tools; document data sources, definitions, and calculation logic; support data governance, quality standards, and security/compliance requirements.

Job description

TSPi is seeking a highly skilled and mission-focused Senior Data Architect to support data-driven decision making across TSPi’s federal and commercial portfolios. This role is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that inform customer operations, program outcomes, and strategic initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with customers, solution architects, engineers, and leadership to design analytics approaches, develop dashboards and reports, and ensure data is used effectively to support mission and business goals.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business and mission awareness, understands how data is generated and consumed in large organizations, and can clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Insight Development

• Facilitate requirements sessions to define metrics, KPIs, and success measures.

• Support data-driven decision making by connecting analytical insights to real-world operational impacts.

Data Visualization, Reporting & Tools

• Design and deliver intuitive, user-centered dashboards and visualizations using modern BI and analytics tools.

• Ensure reports and dashboards align with user needs, accessibility requirements, and organizational standards.

• Automate recurring reports and analytics workflows where appropriate to improve efficiency and consistency.

• Document data sources, definitions, and calculation logic to support transparency and reuse.

Data Governance, Quality & Standards

• Support data governance efforts by applying consistent definitions, metadata standards, and data quality practices.

• Identify data gaps, quality issues, and integration challenges, and recommend remediation approaches.

• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to improve data pipelines, models, and availability.

• Ensure analytics and reporting solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Capture, Proposal & Solution Support

• Support business development and capture efforts by contributing data analytics approaches, metrics strategies, and solution narratives.

• Assist with the development of proposal content related to analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.

• Contribute to demonstrations, mock-ups, and proof-of-concept analytics in support of pursuits.
