Responsibilities

Conduct 1st/2nd party and 3rd-party audits in accordance with SGS global/local procedures and client guidelines, with timely reporting and audit pack submission
Make certification decisions based on audit evidence and recommend whether registration should be granted, continued, or denied, and communicate outcomes
Assimilate and operate the SGS Certification System across auditing activities; liaise with Product Managers and Technical Accreditation teams regarding design/implementation changes
Travel up to 80% of the time (including international travel) to perform audits, focusing on chemical, food, pharma, cosmetics, and personal care industries

Job Description

SGS is in need of a sub-contractor to perform second party and third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and the requirements for the ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standard(s). They perform collection and analysis of sufficient information and provide a recommendation for certification. The contract Lead Certification Auditor is responsible for making relevant decisions regarding certification audit and the audit process and informing SGS on issues resolution outside the audit process.

100% Remote/ Contract Position

Perform certification and second party audits in any capacity in conformance with the SGS Global/Local procedures, sector specific schemes/standards/clients’ guideline, ensure that such duties are performed in an efficient and commercially expedient way.
Focusing on clients in the chemical, food, pharma, cosmetics, and personal care industries
Upon evidence gained during audits, provides with determination whether registration should or should not be recommended or allowed to continue.
Assimilates, understands, and operates the SGS Certification System in all auditing activities. Liaises with the Product Managers, Technical Accreditation CBE and Manager, Technical Accreditation CBE regarding changes to its design and implementation.
Timely reporting and audit pack submission
Maintains all audit-related credentials.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Compliance to QHSE requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline AND
Minimum 5 years work experience in chemical, food, packaging, pharma, cosmetics, and/or personal care industries
Remain qualified Lead Auditor (IRCA/Exemplar Global/Accredited CB scheme) against ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standard(s).
Satisfactorily completed an IRCA/Exemplar approved ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Auditor/Lead Auditor course. The course must include an examination, which must be passed to evidence satisfactory completion.
Detailed exposure in the specific field of appointment (e.g. quality experience for ISO 9001), including any audits against these artefacts.
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Intermediate user proficiency

Travel

Travels up to 80% of the time - automobile / airplane, some travel might be international with flight time 8+ hours depending on the destination. Weekend travel may be necessary to meet utilization requirements.
