Position Summary: Serve as a defined contribution investment only (DCIO) expert, collaborating with retail Advisor Consultants and RIA Sales Consultants, to enhance Hartford Funds’ presence in the DCIO marketplace. Candidate will drive sales and revenue growth by building and managing strategic partnerships with key retirement business development teams at broker dealers and recordkeeping firms.


Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute business plans with internal field resources to service, prospect and meet sales goals within their territory.
•Build strong relationships with financial advisors, retirement consultants, and recordkeepers to support their business and provide them with product and market insights.
•Provide retirement professionals clarity on investment solutions, educate them on product offerings fit within retirement plan line-ups, and understand their needs for growing retirement plan business.
•Address complex inquiries and resolve issues for internal and external stakeholders.
•Develop sales strategies, manage a sales pipeline, and document all interactions in our CRM.
•Optimize time and travel budgets to maximize sales impact, including regular in-person client engagement.


Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, sales, or marketing (or equivalent experience).
•3–5 years of sales experience in the DCIO or retirement marketplace preferred.
•Extensive knowledge of the defined contribution industry, including plan design, regulatory matters, investments, ERISA, distribution, and recordkeeping.
•Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
•Creative problem-solving skills and ability to provide guidance to the retail sales team.
•Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to travel overnight up to 50%.
•FINRA Series 7 and/or 63 required.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$140,000 - $160,000
