Role Overview

Otis is growing and is looking for a Technical Assistant located in Perak.

Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator and escalator units.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all servicing, replacements, repairs and troubleshooting work are diligently and professionally performed according to the Company's maintenance program and work schedule.

  • To report all abnormal findings to superior, supervisor and or engineer for further action.

  • To ensure that all the work performed (i.e. servicing, parts replacement, repairs and breakdown) are accompanied by relevant job-sheet acknowledged by the respective customer.

  • To attend as soon as reasonably possible, to all breakdown callback assignment. Priority is to be given for 'man trap' situation.

  • To perform other repair works as instructed by the Supervisor and or Engineer.

  • Maybe required for 24-hour Breakdown Callback Standby duties.

  • Any other duties that may be given by the Supervisor from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM, preferably with technical certificate

  • Basic Electrical, Electronic and or Mechanical knowledge with 1 year related experience.

  • Able to trouble shoot and solve technical problem will have added advantage.

  • Familiar with lift and escalator operation.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Results-driven and committed.

  • Comfortable dealing with customers.

  • Brings a positive, can-do attitude.
