Job description

The Role

The Performance Strategy Analyst is the operational engine of the Performance Strategy & Innovation team. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who possesses a strong foundation in the media landscape but thrives at the intersection of technical precision and strategic execution.

You aren't just managing data; you are directly impacting client success by ensuring every campaign is tuned for maximum performance. You will serve as the first responder for tactical challenges and the bridge that connects our proprietary technologies to real-world client wins.

Responsibilities

1. Daily Revenue Management

  • Daily Yield Audits: Monitor Revenue vs. Spend at a granular level to ensure the campaign performance and profit targets are being met.
  • Performance Intervention: Identify accounts where performance is dipping or costs are spiking and proactively flag them and determine a proposed course correction.
  • Budget Integrity: Own the daily pacing reports, ensuring that spend remains optimized for maximum results rather than just hitting a budget.

2. Tactical Troubleshooting & Stakeholder Support

  • CX/Ops Frontline: Serve as the first point of contact for Client Experience and Media Ops teams when they have questions about Paid Search Pro performance or technical nuances.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolution of daily issues (data discrepancies, campaign performance questions, etc.).
  • The Translator: Take complex performance shifts from the UMCP and assist CX and Ops in the translation of them into client-ready stories that drive retention and upsells.

3. Innovation Lab Activation

  • Monitoring Experiments: Track the day-to-day results of new strategy pilots, working closely with the Senior Performance Specialists and the Senior Director to determine whether experiments should be scaled.
  • Operational Feedback: Report back to the Senior Specialist on how new features are behaving "in the wild" to inform future technical iterations and assist in the development of documentation and training materials.

Required Technical Skills & Certifications

  • Proactive problem solver who identifies performance anomalies at the first sign of trouble, quickly diagnosing the cause and pivoting to a solution that protects client success and agency margins.
  • Google Ads Certified (Search, Display, Video)
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing mid-to-large scale campaigns in Google Ads and Meta Ads
  • Experience working in campaign management and automation tools such as Google Marketing Platform (Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, etc.), Optmyzr, Skai, or similar enterprise-level bidding and automation platforms

Nice To Have's

  • Hands-on experience managing campaigns in LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, or AdTheorent
  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or PowerBI
