Financial Controller

Financial Controller| CPA Qualified or Equivalent | Fully remote | Must be located East coast Canada

Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to take the reins of financial control and reporting in a dynamic, growth-focused environment? We're looking for a Financial Controller who combines technical excellence with strategic business insight to help steer our clients financial operations to new heights. This role is ideally suited to a qualified finance professional with an audit background, consolidation reporting and multi entity close experience. Plus a strong grounding in both US GAAP and SOX compliance.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and manage all aspects of financial control and reporting across the business
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements
• Partner with senior leadership to drive commercial decision-making and financial strategy
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Implement and enhance internal controls and financial systems
• Mentor and develop a finance team

What we are looking for:

• CPA qualified with a strong post-qualification track record
• Proven experience in financial control and reporting ideally from an audit background
• Experience of multi entity close and consolidation reporting 
• Deep understanding of US GAAP & SOX compliance
• Commercial acumen and the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong Excel and financial systems proficiency
