Requirements:

  • Lead end-to-end SmartAdvisor implementations, from requirements gathering to configuration, testing, and production deployment.
  • Configure system parameters, rules, workflows, and user roles per client specifications; design and execute test plans; create and maintain client configuration documentation; manage data migration strategies.
  • Lead electronic billing and payment solutions integration, including secure processing of ACH transfers, virtual cards, and recurring payments, plus file exchange, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client administrators, build trusted advisor relationships, and ensure a smooth transition to production support while meeting client timelines.

Job Description :

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

 

The SmartAdvisor Implementation Manager is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of our industry-leading workers' compensation claims management solution. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and client relationship skills to successfully configure, test, and deploy SmartAdvisor while meeting client requirements and timelines. Additionally, this position will lead the implementation of electronic billing and payment solutions, requiring integration experience and understanding of financial transaction processing.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

SmartAdvisor Implementation

  • Lead comprehensive implementation projects for SmartAdvisor, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and production deployment
  • Configure system parameters, rules, workflows, and user roles according to client specifications
  • Design and execute test plans to validate system functionality against requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation of client-specific configurations
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies for transitioning clients from legacy systems
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client administrators
  • Facilitate smooth transition from implementation to production support
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders

Electronic Billing & Payment Solutions

  • Configure and implement electronic billing interfaces between SmartAdvisor and client systems
  • Set up secure payment processing workflows including ACH transfers, virtual card processing, and recurring payment solutions
  • Establish file exchange protocols for financial transaction data
  • Configure reconciliation processes and reporting mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with financial data security requirements and industry regulations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise software solutions, preferably in workers' compensation, insurance, or healthcare industries
  • 3+ years of experience with system configuration, integration, and testing
  • Demonstrated expertise with electronic payment systems, file-based integrations, and financial data processing
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques
  • Experience managing full-lifecycle implementation projects from requirements to deployment
  • Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Experience managing client expectations and building trusted relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SmartAdvisor or similar bill review processing platforms
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation claims processing, bill review, or medical management
  • Familiarity with banking industry standards for electronic payments (ACH, NACHA)
  • Experience with API integrations and secure file transfer protocols
  • Understanding of healthcare data security and HIPAA compliance requirements

Technical Competencies:

  • System configuration and customization, particularly with profile-based systems
  • Database concepts and SQL fundamentals
  • File format standards (XML, JSON, CSV, EDI)
  • Secure file transfer protocols
  • Testing methodologies and quality assurance processes

Benefits eligibility may differ depending on full-time or part-time status. Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $109,000 - $115,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
