Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Python Engineer with strong Django expertise to join our Scrum team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will lead development efforts, mentor the team, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a development team in building and maintaining Python/Django applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure backend solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Hands-on coding and debugging as needed.

Nice to Have:

• AWS experience for infrastructure and release management.
• Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL database design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading and mentoring teams.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and best practices.
• Expertise in Python + Django development.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
