Requirements:

  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for medical coding and CDI solutions across acute and ambulatory segments, driving revenue growth, adoption, and market expansion; develop a scalable commercialization plan and optimize pricing, enablement, and marketing.
  • Lead market leadership and industry-recognition initiatives (KLAS, etc.), develop customer success programs, and monitor benchmarks to improve client satisfaction and market perception.
  • Serve as the external face of the coding & CDI business, representing the company at healthcare conferences, publishing thought leadership, and building relationships with analysts and regulatory bodies to enhance brand credibility and influence.
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to align offerings with market needs, drive AI-powered automation and real-time CDI improvements, and oversee seamless product launches and customer success.

Role Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Coding & CDI Commercialization is a growth-focused executive leadership role responsible for scaling the medical coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) business across both acute and ambulatory markets. This role is central to driving revenue expansion, establishing industry leadership, and positioning the organization as a top-rated solution in industry benchmarks such as KLAS.

With an annual revenue target of $12-15M, this leader will develop and execute a comprehensive commercialization strategy that aligns with market needs, competitive differentiation, and industry trends. The SVP will also focus on building brand credibility, achieving industry recognition, and accelerating go-to-market adoption.

This role is ideal for proven business leaders who have successfully scaled healthcare solutions, led organizations to high-growth milestones, and established strong industry credibility through thought leadership and market influence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Revenue Acceleration ($12-15M Annual Target)

  • Own the go-to-market strategy for medical coding and CDI solutions, driving revenue, adoption, and market expansion across acute and ambulatory segments.
  • Develop and execute a scalable commercialization plan that ensures consistent revenue growth and increased market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, key partnerships, and expansion strategies to drive competitive differentiation.
  • Optimize pricing models, sales enablement tools, and marketing strategies to accelerate revenue performance.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, payers, RCM vendors, and technology partners to strengthen market presence.

Market Leadership & Industry Recognition (KLAS & Other Ratings)

  • Lead initiatives to position the company’s coding & CDI solutions for KLAS recognition and other industry ratings, ensuring measurable improvements in client satisfaction, performance, and market perception.
  • Establish the company as a recognized leader in coding and CDI through industry engagements, strategic marketing, and thought leadership.
  • Develop customer success programs that drive strong testimonials, case studies, and measurable improvements that contribute to industry rankings.
  • Actively monitor customer feedback, competitive benchmarks, and industry standards to refine product offerings and commercialization strategies.

Industry Thought Leadership & Market Influence

  • Serve as the external face of the company’s coding & CDI business, influencing key stakeholders and shaping industry conversations.
  • Represent the company at healthcare conferences, industry forums, and executive summits, positioning solutions as cutting-edge offerings.
  • Publish whitepapers, industry reports, and webinars that highlight innovation, best practices, and market trends in coding & CDI.
  • Develop and maintain high-value relationships with industry analysts, regulatory bodies, and key decision-makers to enhance brand credibility and market influence.

Product Commercialization & Differentiation

  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to ensure the company’s coding & CDI solutions align with market needs, compliance standards, and emerging trends.
  • Drive AI-driven automation, real-time documentation improvement, and technology advancements to enhance coding accuracy, revenue integrity, and workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee seamless product launches with strong go-to-market execution, ensuring maximum adoption and customer success.
  • Identify gaps in market offerings and key product differentiators, ensuring the organization remains a leader in coding & CDI solutions.

Performance Tracking & Data-Driven Growth Strategy

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
  • Revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Client adoption and retention rates
  • industry rankings (KLAS, Black Book, Gartner, etc.)
  • Competitive positioning and market differentiation
  • Use data analytics to refine commercialization strategies, improve product-market fit, and drive sustained business performance.
  • Implement customer and market feedback loops to continuously optimize product offerings, service delivery, and sales strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in medical coding, CDI, revenue cycle management, or healthcare technology commercialization.
  • Proven success in scaling healthcare businesses, achieving high-growth milestones, and leading revenue-driven initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in coding automation, CDI technology, payer compliance, and AI-driven solutions for healthcare providers.
  • Strong background in go-to-market strategy, revenue acceleration, and competitive positioning in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience leading solutions to industry recognition (KLAS, Black Book, Gartner, etc.) and driving customer advocacy.
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage C-level stakeholders, healthcare executives, and industry leaders.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Compensation and Benefits: The Salary range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to current market conditions, location, education, work experience, certifications, etc. IKS Health offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, 401k, and paid time off (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements for full-time employees).
