Job description

This is a remote position.

TekRecruiter has been asked to recruit a Mobile Application Development Manger to join the team of an awesome and one of the largest medical technology companies in the world. This is a Full-time, Fully Remote position.

As Mobile Application Development Manager, you will lead a team of mobile application developers providing frequent releases of one or more consumer facing and medical device mobile applications built with cross platform tools. You will own significant software functionality and features of our cross-platform app framework. This role will be directly responsible for reducing the burden of diabetes for our users through the application of ground-breaking software and technology.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Lead a team of mobile engineers, including iOS and Android development using Xamarin
Make smart decisions on our mobile architecture to support multiple applications
Work cross functionally to build the best high-quality experience
Continually improve the BD UI framework and its capabilities with a focus on consumer delight.
Be a technical leader, expert resource to product teams, and mentor to developers.
Work closely with internal and external specialists to integrate sophisticated algorithms into a mobile app.
Adopt a lean start-up approach to building and testing new product concepts for mobile apps and smart devices. Implement an early feedback loop to enable continuous learning and iteration for ventures, products, and services.

Requirements

Have expert knowledge in mobile development
Shipped one or more Xamarin based applications
Understand UI and UX principles for mobile development on iOS and Android
Have a strong intuition for mentorship, and invest in the growth of your team
Have experience leading mobile application teams to successfully ship software
Have professional experience regulated medical devices or apps
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
5+ years mobile development experience with cross-platform development or a combination of native mobile and C#
Prior experience managing mobile application development teams
Experience with agile, lean practices and methodologies
Hands on experience delivering extraordinary consumer UI to the App Store/Play Store
