Job description

Enjoy working from home? Are you able to handle a challenging workload? Does this sound like something you have been looking for? Deskimate is looking for Desk adjusters to join our growing roster for future deployment opportunities.

A Deskimate Desk adjuster is responsible for the examination, evaluation, and resolution of property insurance claims. This role involves working with policyholders, claimants, agents, and other insurance professionals to gather information and make fair and timely settlements.

Deskimate is looking for licensed adjusters with 3+ years of desk adjusting experience.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for claims handling procedures
Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with insured
Examines insurance policies and other records to determine insurance coverage
Documents the file accordingly.
Provides quality customer service.
Provides insured with policy information to include coverage, limitations, replacement or ACV options.
Works with and may coordinate a number of vendor services such as contracts, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.
This position may require working through client carrier systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

3+ years estimating
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to timely reporting
Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills
Have a professional, current computer, capable of running estimating software.
Have access to reliable internet.
Home state adjusters license
Prior desk adjusting experience is desired.
Demonstrate self-motivation with the ability to plan, organize, and complete tasks independently without close supervision.
Guidewire, Snapsheet, Symbility and Xactanaylisis experience is preferred.
