We are looking to hire 2 experienced medical transcribers with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely transcriptions for a healthcare entity. We are seeking experienced Medical Transcribers to join our team on a contract basis to support our growing needs.

Job Description:

As a Medical Transcriber for Strategic Business Assistance Solutions, you will be responsible for converting audio recordings of varying quality into verbatim text files. These recordings will primarily involve complex medical terminology and may contain a variety of verbal communications. The transcriptions must be accurate, completed within strict deadlines, and compliant with HIPAA and IRB standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Verbatim Transcription: Accurately transcribe audio recordings into text/word files, ensuring that all verbal communications are captured verbatim.
  
• - Medical Terminology Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of medical terminology to produce precise transcriptions, ensuring accuracy and consistency in medical content.
  
• - Timely Delivery: Complete all transcriptions within a week of receiving the audio files. For urgent requests, transcriptions must be completed within 48 hours.
  
• - Quality Assurance: Maintain a minimum quality score of 99%, ensuring all transcriptions meet the highest standards of accuracy and completeness.
  
• - Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and ensure that all transcription processes meet local and national IRB regulations and standards.
  
• - Production Requirements: Meet the requirement of producing at least 5,000 transcription/editing lines (eScription/Emdat) per billing cycle, with a minimum of 1,000 lines on Saturdays or Sundays.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• - Certification: NIH and CITI trained and certified transcription staff are required, or an equivalent qualification must be justified.
  
• - Experience: Extensive experience in medical transcription, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• - Technical Proficiency: Ability to work with various transcription platforms and ensure all hardware meets the specified requirements. Familiarity with eScription and Emdat is preferred.
  
• - HIPAA Compliance: In-depth understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
  
• - Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of IRB regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance on all transcription tasks.
