Commercial Transactional Lawyer

This is a remote position.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Transactional Lawyer to support our client’s corporate and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service-level agreements, partnership contracts, NDAs, and more. This position requires familiarity with Australian commercial law and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, service agreements, licensing, distribution, NDAs, and joint ventures.
  
• Provide strategic legal advice on commercial risks and ensure compliance with applicable Australian laws and regulations.
  
• Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to ensure contracts support business objectives.
  
• Support corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations by conducting legal due diligence and preparing relevant documentation.
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative changes in Australian commercial law.
  
• Advise on legal implications of business decisions and commercial strategies.
  

Requirements

• Undergraduate Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions or corporate law.
  
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law and business regulations.
  
• Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts.
  
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
  
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Previous remote work experience or experience working with international teams is a plus.
