Summary

The Long-Term Care Auditor I is an entry level position responsible for the identification and recovery of Medicaid improper payments made to long term care healthcare providers. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Long-Term Care Auditor I to join our team. In this entry level role, you’ll support the accuracy and integrity of long term care Medicaid payments by conducting audits, analyzing financial data, and partnering with providers throughout the review process. The ideal candidate excels at problem-solving, communication, and managing multiple priorities. 

Your role in our mission

  • Interpret and apply federal and state Medicaid regulations, statutes, and policies related to long term care.
  • Analyze provider records across multiple accounting software systems to identify discrepancies.
  • Identify improper payments, including those resulting from inaccurate payments, collections issues, and coordination of benefits.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned long term care providers, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Manage a caseload of 30+ in various stages of completion.
  • Prepare and deliver provider reports and maintain ongoing communication throughout the audit process.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to management.

What we're looking for

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet or exceed revenue and audit targets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and long term care providers.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and follow direction as needed.

What you should expect in this role

  • Work Arrangement: Fully Remote / Work from Home
  • Must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone locations
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.
  • Reliable broadband internet required (minimum 24 Mbps download / 8 Mbps upload; higher speeds recommended).

The pay range for this position is $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
