Title: Opioid Abatement Grant Field Representative

 

Unit: Administration

 

Salary Range: From $55,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, mileage included.

 

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

 

Location: Remote – Northwest Quadrant of State

 

The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Opioid Abatement Grant Field Representative (“Representative”) for our opioid abatement efforts through coordinated work with the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Board (“Board”).

 

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Representative is responsible for providing on-site services such as needs awareness, training, technical assistance, and project implementation support to potential grant applicants and current grantees in an assigned regional territory. Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Build relationships with and facilitate communication for community-based service providers and members of eligible political subdivisions for meaningful coordination of grant objectives;

  • Conduct targeted, informative outreach to rural or underserved eligible political subdivisions for guidance on grant application processes;

  • Conduct ongoing training and technical assistance meetings for eligible grant applicants and grantees;

  • Develop and present needs assessments to eligible grant applicants;

  • Assist applicants and grantees in development of successful evidence-based applications, implementation plans, budgets, and project schedules;

  • Coordinate with Opioid Response and Grants Coordinator on necessary supportive administrative functions for grantees;

  • Respond to requests for information from interested parties;

  • Assist in preparation of special reports, projects, agency displays and exhibits, including but not limited to updated status and progress reports of the grants;

  • Extensive travel in an assigned regional territory is required;

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

This position is for a field representative. Most work will be conducted at employee-maintained workspaces and at remote locations within the area of assignment. Applicant must have reliable transportation (including compliance with all laws such as safety requirements, registration, and maintenance of insurance) and be willing and able to make on-site visits to grantee locations within an approximate 125-mile radius of Woodward with occasional travel to locations up to 220 miles from Woodward. Additionally, successful candidates must be willing to drive to Oklahoma City for meetings as assigned. (Typically, once per week, up to two). Necessary technology tools and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a combination of education and experience necessary to fulfill the responsibilities and expectations contained in the position summary.  Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.  Applicants must have grant administration experience; knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to prepare, review and analyze financial reports. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of government accounting procedures, and those with prior mental health- and SUD-related grant experience.
