Roles & Responsibilities

Experience in construction engineering supporting planning and execution of construction activities from proposal phase to project execution
Ability to prepare manhours and quantities estimations for construction activities during proposal phase, in collaboration with Project Controlling
Experience with subcontracting bidding processes, including preparing Work Requisitions and collecting technical documents from involved departments
Ability to manage technical queries from bidders, prepare technical bid evaluations, and coordinate with QA/HSE, planning, plant engineering and equipment engineering

Requirements:

Supports Sales Department on new project budgets/proposals by providing technical feedback from previous bids and quotations
Prepares the manhours and quantities estimation of construction activities during the proposal phase, in cooperation with the Project Controlling Department
During subcontracting bidding phase, prepares Work Requisitions, collects technical documents from involved departments, and defines work packages with PM/PD
Manages technical queries received from bidders for construction works and prepares technical bid evaluations in accordance with Casale procedures, coordinating with other technical disciplines (QA/HSE, planning, plant engineering and equipment engineering)

Reports to: Head of Construction Department

The Home Office Construction Engineer supports the successful planning and execution of construction activities from the proposal phase through to project execution. Acting as a technical interface between the Construction Department and other departments, the role ensures that construction aspects are effectively integrated into project development and delivery.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

Supports Sales Department about new project budget/proposal, giving technical feedbacks from previous projects bidders quotations
Prepares the manhours and quantities estimation of construction activities during the proposal phase, in cooperation with Project Controlling Department
During the subcontracting bidding phase, prepares the Work Requisitions, collecting the technical documents from the involved departments/sections, defining work packages with PM/PD
Manages the Technical Queries received from the bidders for the construction works, in cooperation with the technical departments
Prepares the technical bid evaluation for construction works, in accordance with Casale procedures, collecting evaluations prepared by other technical disciplines (QA & HSE, planning, plant engineering and equipment engineering for respective sections)
Organizes the Constructability sessions and Construction Methods analysis, involving the necessary departments
Attends to risk analysis meeting organized by PM/PD for topics relevant to construction activities.
Participates in the preparation/revision of the Construction Department’s procedures with the HO Construction Manager
Collects and files the lessons learned and best practices received from site on the different projects and share with involved departments
