Roles & Responsibilities

7-9 years of hands-on SAP BI experience, with proficiency in CDS View and CDS Extraction
Strong development experience in BW on HANA and BW/4 HANA, including end-to-end implementation projects
Expertise with classic BW objects (InfoCube, Standard DSO, MultiProvider) and newer objects (ADSO, Composite Provider); data extraction, modeling, and reporting
Experience with ODP extractions (ABAP CDS and ODP SAP), CDS-based extraction from S/4HANA using CDC, and ABAP OO basics for transformations

Requirements:

Lead end-to-end SAP BI projects: solution design, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of BI solutions
Provide production support, troubleshoot errors, fix bugs, handle minor change requests, and plan/estimate development efforts
Develop and optimize ETL/transformations, ABAP OO routines, build/test/publish BEx queries and Analysis for Office workbooks, and perform performance tuning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onsite/offshore) and coordinate with stakeholders; work with CDS-based extractions from S/4HANA using CDC and BW data modeling tools

Job Description:

Skill sets

At least 7-9 Years of experience in SAP BI.
Hands-on Knowledge of CDS View and CDS Extraction.
At least worked on 2 implementation projects with end-to-end design, build, test and deployment of SAP BI technical solution.
Hands-on development experience with BW on HANA, but also experience with BW/4 HANA would most probably work. Experience working with classical (e. g. InfoCube, Standard DSO and MultiProvider) as well as newer objects (e. g. ADSO, Composite Provider).
Excellent knowledge of data extraction, data modelling, and reporting. Experience on extraction via ODP source system (type ABAP CDS and ODP SAP).
Ideally, having experience on CDS-based extraction from S/4 HANA using CDC (Change Data Capture)
Good knowledge on SAP BW extractors like 2LIS* and generic extractors based on function module or view/table.
Good understanding of delta functionality and data loads is must.
Should be able to implement start and end routines within transformations. Basic knowledge about ABAP object-oriented programming is a must, as transformation logic is encapsulated in custom-built classes framework. Good knowledge about efficient code writing and debugging is required, especially performant handling of data in ABAP internal tables.
Should be able to build, test and publish Bex queries (with BW Modelling Tools (Eclipse)) and Analysis for Office (AFO) workbooks.
Should have basic knowledge on Open Hub destination.
Should have basic knowledge on HANA native modelling objects (mainly Calculation Views) and their consumption within BW data models
Should have knowledge/hands-on experience in creation of customer exits variables that include BADI and classes.
Should have knowledge on performance improvement and data load tuning techniques.
A good knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA modules like SD, MM, IM, FI and CO along with their database table and virtual data model (CDS views) will be added advantage. Understanding of CDS view syntax (e. g. annotations, associations, etc.) will be added advantage.
Broad content experience across multiple lines of business.
Ability to handle support tasks like solving error tickets, bug fixes, minor CRs independently.
Planning and estimation of development efforts independently.
Should be a good team player with excellent co- ordination skills to work with multiple teams.
It will be added advantage to have experience in working with onsite offshore model with clients from European geography.
