Senior DevOps Engineer - Confluent Cloud and Kafka Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Confluent Cloud and Kafka to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes cluster deployment, CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and extensive experience working with various database systems, including Google BigQuery, MySQL, XtraDB, AWS Aurora, etc. Additionally, the candidate should possess a deep understanding of Agile development methodologies and multi-cloud infrastructure, including both private and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm Chart and Harness configurations, to support our infrastructure needs.

2. Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

3. Utilize Confluent Cloud and Kafka expertise to architect and optimize event streaming solutions for real-time data processing and analytics.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

5. Work closely with development teams to streamline software delivery and release cycles in an Agile environment.

6. Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.

7. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our infrastructure and development processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2. 5-8 years of relevant experience in DevOps, with a focus on Confluent Cloud, Kafka, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

3. Proven experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, including Helm Chart and Harness configurations.

4. Strong proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

5. Hands-on experience working with database systems such as Google BigQuery, MySQL, XtraDB, AWS Aurora, etc.

6. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.

7. Experience with multi-cloud infrastructure, including both private and public cloud environments.

8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
