Senior Consultant
Responsibilities
- Work with Agile scrum team on the Financial and business processes in the areas of Tax and intercompany and other similar transaction-based globally on several business models
- Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and reconciles conflicts
- Dissects high-level information into details and is able to communicate details in a manner understood by relevant audiences
- Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, may perform configuration, tests, and rollouts to business users and customers
- Able to Test solutions and ensures they meet business requirements and are fit-for-purpose. Presents and validates solutions with business partners.
- Collaborate with Product Owner/Scrum Master/Team Lead/Architect for successful execution of the project
- Participates in software estimation process, and Agile estimation techniques
- Balances out business requirements with technical feasibility. Recommends changes in business process, development, maintenance and system standards.
- Be part of the Agile team and participate in all Agile activities (standups, planning, validations, etc.)
- The position utilizes both analytical and programming skills.
- Keep your ear to the ground and help us incorporate industry best practices and important developments into our products
- Able to discuss with customer community (internal and external customers) and with cross teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 6 + years of BPC technical experience using ABAP to create Custom Planning sequences, S4 HANA native views, CDs views, AMDP procedures, RICEFW and BAPs.
- Knowledge in creating the BW objects using Hana Studio/Eclipse such as Infoobjects, infoproviders, composite providers, Bex Queries, Data sources, Process-chains.
- Should have good understanding of financial process for the intercompany postings, Master
- data such as GL, Cost Centers, Customers, Vendors etc.
- Has good understanding of SAP Finance and basic understanding of Tax and SD flow
- Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- Proficient in creating an E2E Process flow documentation
- Good experience in testing, UAT testing and Business User communication
- Experienced in OpenText e-invoicing/returns is a plus
- Experienced in tax calculation using Vertex is a plus
- Experience in Test Plan Creation, Familiarity in designing and developing test scenarios/cases for functional and regression testing
- Accountable with ownership and commitment, Adaptable with goal driven teamwork
- Self-navigating learner who is eager to learn new skills
- Experience with Agile methodology and process
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in both process and solution analysis
- Being able to articulate and communicate in both written and oral forms to various types of audiences (developers to managers to business owners)
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently as appropriate
- Mature directness to communicate honest opinions on technology, process, and approach--putting in efforts to improve them
