Strong Java development skills and Unix/Linux shell scripting; exposure to full application lifecycle (coding, testing, deployment, post-implementation activities).
Extensive AppDynamics expertise, including product knowledge, REST API, application monitoring of mission-critical systems, and troubleshooting with APM tools.
Deep knowledge of network traffic monitoring and experience with monitoring/performance tools; VMware knowledge preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement infrastructure/application monitoring to ensure optimal platform availability and performance.
Configure AppDynamics to monitor applications, analyze data, and predict future performance based on historical trends; build/maintain dashboards and monitoring extensions.
Integrate AppDynamics with third-party products, perform patches/upgrades, and generate monthly operational reports; monitor system usage for compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Infrastructure teams to improve MTTR/MTTD, and develop robust knowledge documentation; proactively identify opportunities to automate and reduce costs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement infrastructure & application monitoring to ensure optimal platform availability and performance
Candidate should have Strong technical skill sets in Java and Unix shell scripting.
Exposure to full application life cycle development including coding; testing; deployment; and post-implementation activities.
Configure AppDynamics to monitor Applications
Setup and Analyze AppDynamics analytical data to predict future performance based on historical trends
Perform analysis on logs and use problem-solving techniques
Build/maintain AppDynamics dashboards
Integrate AppDynamics with third-party products
Configure auto mail rules
Perform Patches & Upgrades
Generate Monthly Operational Reports
Monitor system usage for compliance
Administer, monitor, and maintain system security
Ability to develop AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions.
Engage and collaborate with cross-functional Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and
Infrastructure teams to improve MTTD and MTTR
Research, analyze and recommend approaches for solving challenging operational issues
Develop and maintain robust knowledge documentation for the Site Reliability Engineering team and its partners
Proactively perform analysis and identify opportunities to innovate, automate, improve efficiency, and achieve cost savings

Skill Set

Strong AppDynamics product knowledge, internals, and product REST API.
Extensive industry experience in deploying AppDynamics for mission-critical applications.
Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting and monitoring using AppDynamic APM Tools
Deep knowledge of Network traffic monitoring is essential
Working experience in monitoring and performance tools.
Strong technical skill sets in PowerShell, Java, and Linux shell scripting.
Exposure to full application lifecycle development including coding; testing; deployment; and post-implementation activities.
Ability to develop AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions.
Knowledge of the Vmware toolset is preferred.
