Job Title: Field Engineer (Remote + Travel)

Location: Remote with up to 45% travel

Pay: Competitive | Based on experience

Reports To: Engineering Manager

About Heritage Civil Works

Now, we are looking for a Field Engineer who's ready to be the hands-on extension of our technical team, working on-site, solving real-world engineering challenges, and representing our expertise in the field.

About the Role

This is not your average desk job.

As a Field Engineer, you'll travel to client sites across the country (and occasionally abroad) to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and test the systems and hardware we develop. When not traveling, you'll work remotely with our engineering team to plan upcoming site work, analyze results, and ensure our solutions are performing at the highest level.

What You'll Be Doing

- Travel to client sites for equipment installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

- Work closely with engineering teams to understand system designs and ensure smooth field execution.

- Set up and run data acquisition systems, calibrate sensors, and assist with physical modeling or test setups.

- Identify and resolve technical issues in the field with a hands-on approach.

- Maintain detailed reports, logs, and documentation of field activities.

- Provide feedback to the design and development teams based on field experience.

- Build trust with clients and represent the Heritage Civil Works brand with professionalism and expertise.

What We are Looking For

- Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).

- 25 years of experience in a field-based engineering or technical support role.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, hardware, and technical equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills especially under real-time pressure in unfamiliar environments.

- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (domestic and occasional international trips).

- Self-starter mindset, you can take initiative and work independently in the field.

Bonus Points For:

- Experience working in high-stakes industries (aerospace, energy, manufacturing, etc.).

- Familiarity with data acquisition tools, sensors, or testing software.

- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

- A valid passport and prior international fieldwork.
