Senior Project Manager

Position Overview:
The current role is for a onsite role for a 6 month contract in Sunninghil, Johannesburg )

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule constraints. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and business objectives.
2. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
3. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
4. Manage project scope, resources, and budgets effectively, making adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.
5. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
6. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability to achieve project goals.
7. Conduct regular project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Mentor and coach junior project management staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and capabilities.
10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project management, and proactively share knowledge and insights with the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in  PMP or other project management certification preferred.
• years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
