Job description

Role: Senior Project Manager

Workplace Type: 100% remote

Location: Washington, DC, USA

Employment Type: 1099 contract (1 year with possible extension)

Pay Range: $73 - $83 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

We're seeking a Senior Project Manager for our federal client! You will oversee and ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of various software development projects. These projects involve the enhancement of our client's legal matter management software, which supports more than 20,000 litigation matters throughout the U.S. court system annually.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the project(s) from initiation to closure. Provide documentation and reporting, as necessary.
Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients.
Manage budgets to ensure projects are completed within allocated financial resources.
Ensure project objectives are achieved effectively, efficiently, and according to stakeholder expectations.
Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
Recruit, select, orient, and train new employees, as needed.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university.
10+ years of experience in IT project management and managing the full software development lifecycle.
Advanced proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Prior experience working with the federal government.

KEY PREFERENCES:

Active Moderate Risk Public Trust (Tier 2S background investigation).
