IT Infrastructure Architect

Role: Principal Infrastructure Architect

Workplace Type: 100% remote

Location: Washington, DC, USA

Employment Type: 1099 Contract (8-month contract with possible extension)

Pay Range: $97 - $112 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and evolution of e-filing infrastructure, aligning with future state architecture plans.
• Evaluate and propose migration strategies for moving relevant infrastructure to containers and cloud-based solutions.
• Lead a team of three senior architects, coordinating activities and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and provide LoE estimates in response to new work requests and impact assessments.
• Offer guidance and strategies for increasing DevSecOps maturity within relevant infrastructure.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 10 years of experience developing infrastructure architectures for large, complex programs, with a focus on team leadership and stakeholder collaboration.
• 4 years of experience migrating applications to cloud, including supporting transition from monolithic applications to microservices.
• Strong knowledge of the Linux platform, including server and network virtualization.
• Proficiency with CM tools, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM.
• Experience with JBoss EAP, WebSphere Application Server, and IBM MQ.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices on complex projects.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
