Roles & Responsibilities

  • 15+ years of experience in solution design, integration, configuration, installation and troubleshooting of Marketing Automation Frameworks (e.g., Unica, Adobe, Braze, Salesforce)

  • Strong knowledge of supporting third-party components (web/application servers, databases, operating systems) with Cloud Native experience (Helm Charts, Docker, Kubernetes); OpenShift knowledge a plus

Requirements:

  • Lead Unica services engagements, guiding requirements gathering, solution design, proposals and client acceptance
  • Document, present and secure client sign-off on Unica solutions (requirements, design/architecture artifacts and diagrams)
  • Perform and/or support product configuration, testing (unit/system/acceptance/performance) and asset migrations across installations, including production deployment and go-live
  • Provide guidance to client technical staff on maintenance/configuration of Unica products and supporting components; lead database activities (SQL, schema, performance) and ensure installation/upgrades with focus on performance, scalability, and cloud-native contexts

Job description

The Marketing Technology (Martech) Technical Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership during HCL Unica software implementations, upgrades and workshops. The Architect will facilitate solution definition, design and implementation.
 
The Architect will technically supervise the installation, upgrade, configuration, integration and performance tuning across the HCL Unica Suite: Campaign, Interact, Contact Optimization, Plan, Journey, Deliver & Link.
 
Knowledge and experience with the supporting third-party components including web application layer, database and operating systems is required. Cloud Native experience  across Helm Charts, Docker Containers and Kubernetes Clusters, as well as Cloud Hosted databases and knowledge of OpenShift is a plus.
 
This position requires the ability to work independently, take accountability for solution services and delivery, and function as a team member with both colleagues and clients.    


Experience:
 
Qualified candidates should have 15+ years of experience and a demonstrated track record in solution design, integration, technical configuration, installation and trouble-shooting of Marketing Automation Frameworks like Unica, Adobe, Braze, Salesforce, etc.. The role requires a 4-year university degree.



Responsibilities:
  • Lead Unica services customer engagements providing solutions, specifically facilitating client-facing activities related to requirements and design for solution definition, proposal and client acceptance.
  • Document, present and gain client acceptance of proposed Unica marketing solutions (e.g., requirements documentation, design/architecture documents and associated diagrams).
  • Perform and/or support product configuration, unit, system, acceptance and performance testing.
  • Perform and/or support product configuration asset migration across installations, including production deployment and go-live.
  • Provide guidance and enablement to client technical staff in the maintenance and configuration of the Unica products, as well as supporting architecture components (e.g., WebSphere/Web Logic/Tomcat, JBoss, databases and file systems,) and associated environmental maintenance activities (e.g., backup and recovery).
  • Design integrations between Unica products and third-party applications.
  • Installation, architectural design, performance/scalability, and hardware sizing for Unica product installations and upgrades to address requirements relative 3-tier architectures, network, security, high availability, web/application server clustering, virtualized environments, database connectivity.
  • Perform product installations and upgrades, including self-sufficiency in installation and configuration of WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat and/or JBoss
  • Lead and/or direct client staff in relational database creation, table, view and index creation, SQL script development, execution and query performance tuning for DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and/or HCL OneDB.  Qualified candidates can configure SQL clients for access to all of the above primary relational databases.  Preferred candidates also must be experienced in the above in Big Data platforms, including Hadoop, Teradata and Netezza and/or Cloud Hosted databases like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Redshift and/or Actian Avalanche
  • Perform initial system administration activities in Microsoft Windows, RedHat Linux, AIX operating systems, including system monitoring and configuration utilities, as well as associated batch or shell scripting and execution techniques.
  • Apply common data modeling, design, and documentation techniques (e.g., Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), data dictionaries, Visio diagram views).
  • Perform Java API program design, development, unit test and execution.
  • Candidates with Interact experience (real-time inbound) also implement integrations utilizing SOAP, Java, REST-like APIs, including design of message sequence diagrams between calling systems and Interact.
  • Cloud Native experience – Helm Charts, Docker Containers and Kubernetes Clusters as well as Cloud Platform: GCP, AWS, Azure and OpenShift is a plus
  • Experience installing Kafka and Kafka integrations is a plus
  • OpenShift experience
