Requirements:

  • Build and maintain core business dashboards and reports across product, marketing, revenue, and retention; define and own key business metrics (subscription funnel, churn, LTV, ARPU, retention); ensure accuracy and consistency of analytics and reports; provide regular insights and ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders
  • Own the web tracking setup including events, funnels, and conversions; identify and resolve tracking gaps or inconsistencies across web and backend data (API-based events); collaborate with Engineering to implement server-side and API-based tracking; maintain tracking documentation and event taxonomy
  • Build and analyze user cohorts based on signup, activation, retention, churn, and revenue; analyze subscription lifecycle: trials, conversions, renewals, cancellations; identify churn/retention drivers and translate insights into actionable product recommendations
  • Design and evolve analytics infrastructure (tools, data flow, best practices); set company-wide standards for tracking, analytics, and experimentation; act as the go-to person for all analytics-related queries across the business; provide strategic, data-driven recommendations to leadership

About the Role & Company

MCR Media Group is an international company specializing in online IQ tests, brain training platforms, and digital product marketing. We are a dynamic, fast-growing team passionate about creating cutting-edge digital products that engage millions of users worldwide.

We are now looking for a Senior Analytics Specialist to take full ownership of our analytics function. This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who can build a reliable, scalable analytics foundation for a subscription-based web product. You’ll work closely with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure data accuracy, actionable insights, and drive data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain core business dashboards and reports across product, marketing, revenue, and retention.
  • Define and own key business metrics (subscription funnel, churn, LTV, ARPU, retention).
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all analytics and reports.
  • Provide both regular insights and ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders.

Tracking & Data Quality

  • Own the web tracking setup including events, funnels, and conversions.
  • Identify and resolve tracking gaps or inconsistencies across web and backend data (API-based events).
  • Collaborate with Engineering to implement server-side and API-based tracking.
  • Maintain tracking documentation and event taxonomy.

Cohort & Subscription Analytics

  • Build and analyze user cohorts based on signup, activation, retention, churn, and revenue.

Requirements

  • Experience working with API/backend event tracking.
  • Proven expertise in cohort analysis, retention, churn, LTV.
  • Proficient in SQL and working with analytical databases.
  • Experience with dashboarding tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase.
  • Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to Have

  • Experience setting up analytics from scratch or troubleshooting broken tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
  • Background in SaaS or subscription-based digital products.
  • Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
