We’re seeking a Bi Engineer who is eager to join our client's team to play a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights through innovative data modeling, advanced calculations, and compelling visualizations. Your work will empower stakeholders to make data-informed decisions that align with our mission to deliver excellence.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, data transformation, DAX development, and advanced reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments for data integration (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint) and data automation using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate and share insights with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use Power Query to expertly clean, transform, and shape raw data into analysis-ready formats. Ensure high data integrity by writing efficient, scalable, and translatable Power Query (M) code.
- Combine datasets by merging queries, in both Model View and Power Query, using helper keys to maintain accuracy and avoid null values.
- Create and fine-tune complex DAX measures for calculations such as percentages, weighted averages, revenue projections, and others based on stakeholder requirements.
- Design cohesive and insightful Power BI visuals tailored to different stakeholders, ensuring clear, actionable reports.
- Skillfully create visual elements such as matrix visuals, stacked column charts, and multi-row cards, and optimize filters in order of business importance.
- Build and leverage Power BI dataflows to integrate external data sources (e.g., Excel sheets) into the model and dashboards.
- Establish live connections to data stored in OneDrive or SharePoint for real-time updates, eliminating reliance on static, outdated datasets.
